Polyform建筑事务所在丹麦癌症协会举办的设计比赛中最终赢得了奥尔堡Livsrum癌症咨询中心的设计，该中心旨在为病人提供一种生活化的诊疗服务，并于年正式投入使用。五栋砖红色的建筑组成了整个中心，这种温暖的外观设计加上绿色屋顶，使其看起来完全不像是一个医疗机构。设计团队希望中心可以给患者带来轻松、积极、愉悦的就诊环境。

咨询中心是整个大楼的重点单元，并且这部分的设计元素被运动到了整个中心内。诊疗中心的基地与周围住宅区非常靠近，所以不论从建筑体量和尺度、以及设计样式上都力求给患者一种类似“家”的体验，这样他们才能无所顾忌、全身心放松的投入治疗。5个诊疗单元大小各异，内部设计各具特色。整个设计中都采用了环保型建筑材料，避免使用烈火烧的硬砖从而降低了二氧化碳的排放。绿色屋顶的设计不仅仅是为了吸引眼球，同时可以收集雨水。

NothinglikeahospitalThecancercounselingcenteropenedinandthearchitecturebothprotectsandgreetsthevisitor.Thefivebuildingsmakingupthecenterpresentsitselfinwarmredbrickandgreengrassroofs–andlooksnothinglikeahospital.ItwasPOLYFORMsdistinctambitiontodesignagreenandhomelikefacilitythatcreatespositiveexpectationsandcalmnessasthepatiententersthebuilding.

AspaceforconversationCounselingandconversationareofcoursethemainpurposeofthebuildingandthedesignreflectsthisineveryaspect.Placedinaresidentialareaclosetothehospitalthebuildingmirrorsthescaleandformoftheresidencesnextto–aconsciousdecisiontogivevisitorsthefriendlyfeelingofvisitingahome,wheretheycanspeakfreelyandintimately.Thecenterismadeupof5unitswithsimpleandoverlookableinteriorsandexteriorsappealingtoopennessandtrust.Eachunitsrooms
